I said yesterday that I had a problem with the characters' motivations and, then, figured it out. That wasn't entirely accurate. What I should have said was that I figured out ONE of the main characters. Two I already know about and am writing into the story and the last one I, my main and only point of view character, was still a mystery.
Well, I've figured out this main, only point of view character. His motivation was my lightbulb. And I can draw on real life to provide the inspiration for it.
Today's Writing
Not much of it today. After two weeks of waking up at 5AM to write, I am feeling utterly exhausted and can barely think. Yeah, I know, there is such a thing as coffee. But I'm not a coffee person, which means I don't own a coffee machine.
I know, shocker! How is that possible?!
It's too long to share here. Suffice it to say I will be getting a frothy, creamy, sugary drink from Starbucks or the café at work later this morning. Probably a pumpkin something or other. Mmmm!
Today's writing has consisted solely of typing up the notes I wrote in my spiral notebook yesterday. It turned out to be a lot less words than I thought but, eh, the story is moving forward.
