So I spent last week waking up one hour early so I could write before work. It worked out decently, getting me about one page of printer paper worth of story each day. However, while I was making progress, that was just not enough progress. This week, I have a new plan.
I was asked today by one of the supervisors at the Job about my story. It was very nice of her to ask, it’s always very nice to be asked. And terribly difficult to answer too! If you have read my work, or ever get the chance to, you will probably notice that I’m a bit wordy. I like to talk. Writing, being near and dear to my heart, is, understandably (I hope!), my favorite topic.
But then this supervisor threw me a curveball. She asked me about writing groups. She asked if I participate in any and how they have worked out for me. Well, there is a story in and of itself! Another post that is a bit late. Whatever. That’s not what this is about. What it is about is what I did last week. Namely, setting myself a goal and achieving it.
In my last post I said it was a bit late for New Year's Resolutions. It still is. However, I do have my writing goals for the year. I had the thought this morning that, since I failed to tell you about them at the very beginning of the year, why not start off the next month with them?
I'm pretty excited about what I'm going to be doing this year. So click the button to see the rest of the post! |
